Any Good For A Enclosure DIY Project

i was given this of my dad as i needed an earphone jack plug which i took one out for myself. i was wondering if the enclosure would be any good for someone to make an enclosure DIY project or not?
it is made from half aluminum & half galvanized steel i think. the top and bottom plates are attracted to a magnet. but the rest isn't. it measures ruffly. 15cm x 10cm x 6cm

Looks like it will work just fine.
From the way it's constructed, if you have a way of cutting the plates, you can make it smaller.
