I would say the "laminate" would be double sided printed circuit board.

Geo I tried to find the thread with a very good housing for surf PI
that has "O" rings till 3:00 am , but gave up.
I only have kept 2 pictures that show the "O" rings
somebody may recognize the pictures and remember the thread.

Geo it is Copper laminated vitroplast as you use for PCB fabrication. Cu laminated on both side of vitroplast. Copper laminated pertinax probably can be used too, but is not so good solutuion as vitroplast.

I do not know greek or other english term for Cu laminated vitroplast.

But not now, it is a project for the winter.

I finally made the Surf_PI with the pcb designed by Aq. Thanks to Aq and to silverdog for his very very quality pcb.
Now is time for the water resistance Box.

I am using "Snap Sights Flash 35mm Waterproof Underwater Reusable" camera box. It works for me 3 years already without problems.
For new machine I have purchased one more on eBay for record low $8 with free shipping recently.

But you need to cut longboard to let if fit.

Btw.. don't you use potentiometer for threshold???

I have made a few SurfPIs in this case and using it from 2009. Practically if it assembled good it needs no adjustments and works stable. I set treshhold once and never changing it. But probably my additions to schematic and Li-Ion powerful batteries helps to keep it stable. In some versions I am using SAT speed potentiometer to go faster.
But I can really recommend you to have SENSITIVITY potentiometer to adjust your machine for example when you go from dry sand to salt water.

Best potentiometer is that one from WestFloridaComponents.com !!! BECAUSE IT HAS O-RING INSIDE TO BE WATERPROOFED !!!
                            http://www.westfloridacomponents.com...ST+Switch.html

Anyone can tell what a thread it has? They do not offering nut so I screwing it into plastic pipe piece.

Also there is ABSOLUTELLY GREAT STUFF TO WATER SEALING ANYTHING !!! 10 TIMES !!! MORE STRONG AND ADHESIVE THEN SILICONE !!!!!!!!!! AQUASEAL !!!!!!!!!! Search eBay for "Mcnett Aquaseal Urethane Repair".
I am fixing my scuba boots with it every month instead of buy new until felt wears off and it has holes on the bottom. :-)))

Also it is great to seal coils, cables, pots, phones, e.t.c.

Hi Waikiki_Sweep. I'm searching for a way to re-use Li-Ion batteries in my MD's, and one of the things I am having difficulties with is to find a DIY charger that I could use with confidence. Can you tell me what kind of charger you use for your MD? it would be great if you have a schematics too.

                                Thanks in advance.

                                Fabian
