    Can someone explain what a pixel receive coil is? I was looking at some patents and saw this

        In the prototype system, the coil is constructed with 128 coils wound on ferrite rods. It's like using an array of 128 pinpointers. The intention appears to be the generation of a graphical image of the target on an LCD.

        I thought it was going to be an old expired patent, as this is by no means a new idea. However, it appears to have been issued last year in June 2012.
