There was some announcement of this detector some time ago, but without this much specifics.
I like it. It has many nice features of a Vallon UXO detector, but refined a little. The double D coil is a geometrical blend of a DD and a concentric coil, so it must be very interesting in a field - I don't know, but I'd like to try.
The extensible stem is very nice.
I don't know about performance, but if it is anywhere near the promised - a super great toy that I might like.

How do you think they are making it ?

It is obvious, each coil, Rx and Tx, are made as combined letters D and omega, like this

Coil named DD is probably monocoil, some modified shape of dual field, not sure, but DD most probably cannot be balanced in given geometry as i video. Don't expect too much from all this.

This detector looks like their mine detector recon pro, am it sounds like an infinium, i'm not expecting very much from it...

I could answer the rised questions, whether the coil can be balanced and how it performs compared to the other coils.

But what's the opinion of the "coil gurus"?
I have been told, that there are much smarter people out there. My IQ is quite limitted (around 100 or so). *LOL*

If this is some version of mine detector, it well may employ bipolar pulsing, explaining easy transition to non-motion mode ( requirement for demining, zero net flux).

Coil at such setup does not need to be precisely balanced.
I think Davor's guess is correct.
I like what i see on video.
It was time "old lion" to wake up, GTI2500 is aging already.
Knowing Garrett's manufacturing quality; i know this detector will be good and long lasting investment.
                        Looking forward!

As an example, the Garrett Sea Hunter coils have the TX and RX loops directly on top of each other so that it looks like a mono. In fact, they even advertise them as mono coils when [strictly speaking] they are not. Clearly it's not a balanced configuration.

The same with Infinium so called "Mono" coil.

But, despite of the same platform, Reckon is way more sensitive to small items than Infinium. For ATX, compared to Reckon - we will see.

Please do. There might be some tweaking as to get the ideal inner radius for the overlapping part, and it must be a royal pain to simulate such jagged structures, but whenever you are up to it ...
