Here is a pdf. But you must use an online translator for building this rig. I don´t know if it is the newest version.

Yes it can discriminate. For PCB ask geotech member silverdog. But this is not rookie project.

yup. Andy released Minelab patent on a disc in PI... he did learn it... I read comments and they are too different... someone writes it is, another one writes it is not... very specific may be and not so due precize dsicrimination you are waiting from...

anyway, you will decide... your word will be last point in the matter.

In July I asked Silverdog aka Andy Beasley if he had any CHANCE boards and he did not at the time. I believe that he will have more made if people contact him on his site and ask for them to be made available. He also sells complete board kits. I have built two of the boards from Silverdog and they are very good. One of the boards is being integrated into a complete detector this week after the case is painted. The prototype detector I built is somewhat detailed in the 'CHANCE PI build' thread on this forum.

                        Regards,

                        Dan

The CHANCE is a microprocessor controlled detector but the source code for it is not available from it's author. The latest and best software version is V 1.2.1 and it has not been changed since about 2011.

You will see in the build instructions that you must adhere to the author's coil design and you must use the 390 ohm damping resistor because the software was written for those parameters. I find that these requirements are overstated and the detector operates best with other coil designs and damping resistor values optimized for each coil. My purpose in building CHANCE is to find sub-gram gold, i.e. 5 to 15 grain nuggets...larger is good too! There are many modifications to the original design hardware that make the detector better and searching this forum is a good place to learn more.

                          Good Luck,

                          Dan

i really want to have a crack at making this detector...im told silver dog has no more pcb's for this chance pi...so where can i buy one from and the programmed pic chip ??? could i have a pcb made by a commercial company by giving them the art work found on this website ???? i know very little about making a pcb or sending a diagram to a commercial company...can anyone pls advise.

Your best bet is to contact Andy at Silverdog and make the request for more CHANCE kits. Andy also sells the Atmega chips programmed with the latest Version 1.2.1 software.
