See Schematic Diagram here http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...0572#post80572 Problem: I lent my Impulse to my friend knowing that the tuner pot was a bit twitchy but machine still perfectly useable. He returned it to me with the fault that at switch on, it went straight to Battery Test. Full Bars on the display, LED lit etc. Definitely on Battery Test as a depleted battery pack showed fewer bars. I have a replacement Tuner Pot/switch coming from CTS to repair the salt water seepage problem, there was no other water damage to PCB etc. I have changed U7 as the "C" section of that IC controls Battery Test switching but to no avail. I'm hoping that a Tech Wizard out there might be able to point me in the right direction. Any (sensible) suggestions most welcome. I will let the forum know the outcome and what fixed it. Either that, or I will be in touch with the Samaritans !
