hello .i need some help for my new project master surf pi 1.2 kit buy from silverdog.co.uk
i put all the pieces on pcb and soldering and when i put 12 v ,the kit dont working and the u5 is very hot
when i measuring +12v and -12 is in shortcircuit (the circuit is closed)
i try to put some pics with my montage
please tell me where is the mistake

Check the IC by d1,d2 and c3, looks like it has been put in the wrong way around!!

In the photo looks much like a "cold solder joint" from. Please recheck all solder joints with a magnifying glass look! (Wire-Jumpers are unnecessary - but are not the reason).

The NE5534 is wrong in the socket!!!!!! Please turn and hope that it's not broken ....
