What kind of huge fake?! show is this here?

    2013-09-29 07:45 PM
    battlecircus10 asks about CoinFinder CF77

    2013-09-29 08:44 PM
    battlecircus10 writes:
Thanks, good advice - just ordered one. Kind regards.

Within 1 hour the "good advice" convinced him while the 1000s hours before he had no idea what kind of detector
is good for him? And what a fantastic timing - directly a half hour after battlecircus10's question ivconic showed up
on the screen and wrote about his fantastic knowledge about how bad all those south-east-european detectors are
compared to the glorious XP Deus he bought now by itself after many hard years of "crap detectors".

Even WM6 found it suspect because he wrote: "After all praise and swear an oath from some Velox One user I am surprised to read such review."

What is this here - a fast food tip restaurant for ultra-hungry help-searchers who buy immediatly after 1 hour everything someone suggests them here?

Let's compare The XP Deus with the CoinFinder CF77:

by the way I know very well about the pro and cons about the Deus - there is a huge section about this detector in a german MD forum with many many threads.

The Deus is lightweight, has a nice LCD screen (almost comparable with iPhone Mini) and alot different settings. Usually it comes with one relative small coil
(27cm) and the larger coil (35cm) costs alot money, around 200 Euro. But as tests have shown this coil doesn't goes much deeper anyway. No wonder -
the coil uses and internal lightweight accu that doesn't has much capacity - it has to be recharged after max. 10 hours.
Such a weak battery of course can't create a powerful EM-field - its comparable with same weak and E-Smog picky one from the Garrett ACE 250 or Euro-Ace.

    Usage:
Compared with the analog "background-chatter" of the CoinFinder CF77 the XP Deus can run completly silent and shows digital metal-values.

I wanna say it in an other fashion:
With the XP Deus you have fantastic clear signals from 0-20cm deep. Fine for persons who need this and don't care what is deeper - I'm speaking of coins and small stuff.

But with some experience and patience with the background noise the CoinFinder or the ca. 30% not so deep Blisstool you will detect much better!

Depth compare tests have shown that already the Blisstool is ca. 20% deeper than the XP Deus. By the way those are using different coil sizes -
the CoinFinder coils are 33cm and 45cm compared with the Deus 27cm and 35cm.

So for very small and just 20cm deep stuff the XP Deus may have the same good results but this is because it uses a smaller coil.

    Handling:
The CoinFinder CF77 ist not as good as the XP Deus because there is alot weight to hold and the battery-belt-clip doesn't makes a big difference.
The best solution is the DeepHunter with its hang-around the neck electronic box and if the coil is mounted to a more lightweight holder than the standard one.

    Depth:
If the Blisstool is already 20% deeper than the XP Deus the Coinfinder is minimum 50-60% deeper. Of course for people who go out of their comfort-zone
and can deal with some background-chatter. There is a huge difference between a loud and clear "coin bang signal" and the fainting but still good recognisable
"double-loud-background-chatter-signal" of a very deep find. But this is the difference in signal strenght a find in 20cm compared to find in 40cm creates.

The more mineralization and the more e-smog sensitivity the less depth will be possible.
I don't know how good the XP Deus works close nearby heavy e-smog sources but I guess it may be OK because the coil is pretty small.
But for larger and deeper finds the XP Deus may get into serious trouble already with its "medium large 35cm coil".
And of course the Deus will never get the same deep with its 35cm coil than the CoinFinder with the 45cm - so for real deep stuff
better buy a second detector if you must have the XP Deus.

    The price is another question:
The Coinfinder incl. large 45cm coil is around 800-1000 Euro while the XP Deus incl. 35cm coil is around 1700 Euro.

    Fazit:
The XP Deus only is for persons who want it very lightweight and more looking for coins and smaller stuff. Charging every day the accu
also must be no big issue for them and evtl. replacing the coils accu after 3-4 years also must be no big problem for them.
If the XP Deus creates the same crazy keyboard-beeping-concerts as the Garrett Ace if there is high e-smog nearby or if high sensitivity-settings
are in use it will be for shure much harder to detect something with such "ring-bing-trouble" as it is still relative good bearable and possible
with the CoinFinders analog background chatter.

The CoinFinder CF77 is a bit too heavy for longer search sessions, especially if the 45cm coil is used. The price is much more better or "fair".
Because of the larger coils even the CoinFinder with standard coil is already much deeper, with 45cm it is much more deeper than the XP Deus.
If you can handle weight & analog signals, with some experience the Coinfinder gives you double depht for the half price compared with the Deus.

Both MDs have no cavity or mineralized stone detection as the Blisstool has.
And better buy directly the Makro-Detector DeepHunter instead of the Coinfinder CF77 because that way you have the ultimate package
from ultra small finds up to super deep stuff and cavity with the 1m coil incl. very lightweight coil handling.

And finally a good advice to everyone and especially battlecircus10:
Time is money so always take enough time to collect really good enough information. 1 hour and a few opinions is much too short to find substancial needed info about certain metal detectors!
Knowledge is power! But there is always the second question: Are you powerful and skilled enough to handle very powerful or professional devices?

        thx for the answer, sir.

Well - who comes first, paints first...
So in this case you "won" if battlecircus10 now indeed really ordered directly the XP Deus.

Of course it is not really about win or lose in this case but more likely the personal favour.
Anyway - I guess battlecircus10, because he is a rookie - may enjoy more the Deus because
especially in the beginning time such analog-ouput detectors signals like the Fisher 1266-X, Blisstool or CoinFinder
creates can easily misinterpreted and of course it is much more fun to read on the display directly some "valuable metal find"
than hearing just a somehow better analog beep depending on how far tuned is the disc-knob.

But it is questionable if its good if a beginner directly invests over 1500 buck for a MD or leading him to such devices -
thrown away money if he finds out after a few months that the whole hobby not really is his thing.
Maybe that a just around 300 bucks costing Garrett Ace 350 or Euro-Ace also would have been enough for the beginning.

The super lightweight Deus usage may motivate him, while starting directly with a heavy detector could frustrate
him fast, if he has not really alot amount of motivation and condition.

However, its important that now we made clear that your suggestion ivconic represents more your personal favorite "taste"
or in other words "XP Deus - that's the way a MD for me has to be!" than a pure or detailed technical feature answer here.

But any MD has its pro or contra points incl. for what person and what tasks it is used.

        - price, weight, depth, technical details, signal-output, coil-size, handling, production-quality, type of batteries,
        - full waterproof or not, available accessoires, easy or complicated to use, transportability and other factors

That's why I won't say any bad against the XP Deus or the Minelab GPX and other higher class detectors,
but because of my personal experiences and comparing results incl. the factors what counts the most for me
when it comes to real powerful and sophisticated metal-detection I prefer those analog detectors over this
completly digitalized stuff as long the "detection-noise-ratio-signal-output" is not the same good as analog has.

I really hope the XP Deus is much better than Garretts "flagship" GTI 2500 if it comes to electronic beep-concerts
on high sensitivity setting or if e-smog sources are nearby.

ivconic, can you tell us how close can you hunt with the XP Deus near train-lines or pylon overland-trasses?
Or better: how much you have to reduce the sensitivity there compared with usual e-smog "clean" sites?
How many percent of depth would you loss at such critical locations?

I'm asking this because I can hunt with almost the full power - at sensitivity 9, 30meters directly under
high voltage lines with the DeepHunter which uses nearly the same additional second motion-circuit as the
CoinFinder CF77, while at the same place the Garrett Ace or GTI only can work with sensitivity-setting 3-4.

btw. my respect for the wireless priniciple the XP Deus uses, because even for "hang around neck detectors"
the danger of cable-breaks always is present, especially after many days or months of usage.

So I hope the next DeepHunter version also come as wireless edition but with a very powerful accu-pack for the coil
so the handling is almost the same lightweight and cablebreak-safe as the XP Deus.

Such a "remote controlled coil" also would have other special advantages, it could be lowerd by a rope into
holes, cavities or deep into the sea if the transmitter is strong enough.
Also a small wireless camera and LED light attached and someone can detect from a boat etc. directly whats down there and see is.

Funfinder excuse me for suggesting this; but you have to learn to write shorter posts here.
It's alright because you are so inspired, but such long posts are annoying and most of the time i don't have enthusiasm to read them completely.
Me myself; i also tend occasionally to "forget myself" and to write novels here, you are not the only one doing that.
But as i noticed; longer the post is - less chances people to read it and respond to it.
In time, repeating like that; people tend to take you as annoying person and usually having no desire to pay attention on what you are trying to say.
Eventually , even if you have something smart and interesting to say: nobody will pay attention on that, and that's make you pretty disappointed.
I am talking this from personal experience.
So please do try to make your posts more compact. Write only exact and essential from what you want to say to other people.
Other words: get to the point.
          Cheers
          !

What means "get to the point" - in that case any book just would consists in one single page.

Complex things consists of many different important points.
And I don't think that I'm writing too much about those single important metal detector points.

Work is money, success and good results while lazyness is bad information, bad quality or even leads to destruction.

Sophisticated technology or how to handle it is not done by a snip with the finger and a few words.

People even are forced by law to visit a special course or school for some weeks or months
to learn how to drive a car even if car-driving for the most is a very simple task.

ivconic, you are right that many people like short, simple and best funny texts to read,
but I can't do them this favour all the time.

This here is no tv talk-show with cheap and light relax-entertainment even kids can understand.

And persons who read this forum because they wanna built a detector on their own are also
willing sometimes to read technical books to understand the backgrounds or technical details.
And metal detector user-manuals also have more than one page.

If someone likes it he may read thousands of those cheap or even worthless short one-sentence-comments all over twitter or facebook
but here we all should work at least at some technical standard that provides enough of the needed and detailed information-quality.

And why should I not write enough detailed info if everyone can decide by itself to read it or not?
Nobody would close all super-markets just because 50% of all customers prefer to buy in small local shops!

Have fun ivconic and don't stop writing long detailed stuff just because for some people it could be too much.
You would just amputate yourself concerning your personal style or character.

This is here no small-talk forum that only provides small bits of cheap and lazy fast-food-information.

Meanwhile there exists a few more videos that show pretty good the great depth of the CoinFinder CF 77:

This one here is the official in-air test:
              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7KAquVWj3o

And this here shows an in the field test from Ukraine, because also people from there use this detector.
It contains an in-air test starting ca. around the last 1/3 of the movie.
              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wssA6RR1Hm0

The original website inclusive additional info to download (pdf files) is here:
              http://www.makrodetector.com/cf77-metal-detector.html

On this page are also other videos and an interesting test-report from www.treasurehunting.co.uk
              This is the direct link:
              http://www.makrodedektor.com/dosyalar/cf77fieldtest.PDF

And the next cool thing is that Makro Detector meanwhile has produced its own high sensitive and
water-proofed pinpointer! Look at this absolutly great done video:

                My Experience

I have owned a number of Blisstools and found them to be a good detector. I never have had any problems at all with any of them and found that I could hit targets that other detectors couldn't "see". It does take some time to learn to use it properly but the time invested is worthwhile. I used a Deep Tech Vista Gold today and it is also a very deep detector.( I did have to have the coil repaired and the factory treated me like royalty.) I also have a Makro CF77 that I haven't had an opportunity to hunt with yet. All of these detectors are ferrous/non-ferrous machines which I prefer since I am a relic hunter. I will reserve any comments on the Makro unit until I have used it. Richard

Fantastic, RichardnTn, because of your good experience with other deep detectors you will know how to use the CF77 correctly
directly from the beginning and so you will be able to reach very soon the maximum depths with this great machine.
I hope you got all three coils so you will see the huge depth difference with the 45cm coil on real deep relics.
