Metrotech 220 - not working - need some guidance

Hi all,

I have bought Metrotech 220 metal detector today and have multiple problems with it.

Brown wire was disconnected from potentiometer - don't know where it was connected.
The rest of wires are in place - transistor based electronics are sealed in plastic.

MD head sounds like there is something loose ... It is sealed - waterproof I guess
Don't know if I can open it.

In "package" was original speaker but don't know if it works.

Please help!
