Troy Shadow X3 ground balance question

First of all hello to everyone. I bought X3 and found it to be very nice machine. But I noticed that when sensitivity set anything above factory preset, detector becomes very sensitive to stones. Was wondering if this could be eliminated with manual ground balance? Anyone know which pot should be replaced if this make any sense of course? I was also thinking about making a different coil. But even after reading a lot of tech stuff here I don't feel confident to do this. Maybe someone could make a coil or give advice what other coil (from different detector) I could use?
