Hi mate, I don't know how to solve your problem as I'm a total noob, but I'm really interested to find out how to connect a set of head phones? I have a headphone Jack but don't know where to.connect it?

    Cheers

In place of the speaker .... and check wich two contact-pins of your Phonejack are "hot" in combination with your earphone before soldering, otherwise you can remain with "no sound".

I had a similar problem. Surf worked fine. When I installed it into the Alu-control box -the performance was poor. (sound, etc.)
                  The problem:
The ground from the Hadphone Jack must not be connected to the housing!!
I have the hadphone Jack installed with a plastic ring.
                  Now it workes Fine...
