Tesoro Lobo Supertraq Concentric Coil Build

My 8 inch Tesoro concentric coil has gone intermittent. I completely destroyed
it trying to take it apart and repair it. I did manage to make some measurements
during the process and decided to build a copy as best I could.
This is my fist attempt at metal detector coil building. My background is
designing and building magnetic resonance coils for research projects at VHF and
UHF frequencies but not 17.5 KHz. I thought this would be fun project and maybe I
could learn something in the process. This blog has been more than helpful when
it comes to information although the Tesoro Lobo Supertraq doesn't seem to have
many followers. I thought I should contribute.
This is my finished coil. I made a document in case I had to do this again in
the future and thought maybe the information could be useful to someone else.

Hi mohandes,

I didn't use a pcb I used standard foam core from an office depot and filed out some of the foam with a rat tail file between the center of the paper. As far as a schematic, the schematic that was posted by FOMA coil is what I went by to build my coil. It was dead on with the wire connections. I hope it's ok to borrow? I did modify it a bit. Here it is.
