Hooray! I'm on!
Solved the following problem: the square wave on TP3 (opamp output) was wrong.
I have taken the 2 D coils from the housing and placed over one another.
first
Then I slid it (very little)
result:
TP1 & TP3
I've also taken the next step: check circuit by connecting to a bench power supply.
This works very well!
Now the next steps.
The Raptor Project is really a very good learning platform!

Is that right?
(Incidentally the little compadre-coil does not work with the Raptor)Originally posted by Dixix View PostAnd here is the step 12

I have now soldered the two switches. (DISC and SENS)
Here is a small misprint in the Book? The pictuere on page 119 "DISC Switch Wiring" shows PL4. First connection (U3b to - pin 6) and the second connection (U2a to - pin 1) is different from the PCB.
first connection of PL4 going the rail on pin2 of U2 and the second connection of PL4 going the rail on pin 6 of the U2?
---------------
The Picture "SENS Switch Wiring" shows the second connection on PL2 on 0V. but it is not 12V rail?
So it shows the plan of PCB ....
I'm confused....

I understood something wrong?

I have found the switch on the schematic (page 99)
Thanks for the tip! (Sorry I was blind)
Genial! I can remove the wire link and install in its place the switch!:

Yes, I printed it out and put in my book. I first looked into the errata list. I've no read about any error on the page of 119.
Sorry.
It seems to have nobody notices.
That's why I also made pictures.(see above)
Please help me
Thanks for your efforts! I know to appreciate this!

Finally! My Raptor is ready.
I have now found out why the coil (4 "Coil Tesoro) functioned poorly. No. I thought it is because of settings. The old wooden table has a few iron parts at the bottom ...That was the distortion factor. I now put the coil to another place and it works. Especially the DISC. Incidentally, It’s an interesting idea with the step switches!
Now I am looking forward to experimenting with the circuit and various homemade coils ....
One more question: Is it better to connect the aluminum housing with 0V?

At one time I considered replacing the fixed resistors on the step switches with preset pots on the PCB, which would make the discrimination settings adjustable to suit different people's requirements. In the end, the need for simplicity and lower cost won out.
By the way, Raptor was originally designed using a 4" Tesoro coil, but was later built with a 9x8 web coil. However, you can also use a 14x12 web coil, the older round polo coils, or even make your own, all with good results.
And, as Davor says, you should connect the aluminium case to ground to reduce interference from external sources.
