Anyone know wich is the smith trigger of the classic Barracuda? I have the schematic, but the view is poor. Friends, do you have a good copy? Send me please!!!

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: BARRACUDA

U4 is a 7414 hex Schmitt trigger inverter, if that's what you're talking about. The only 14-pin IC on the board. Don't have the schematic at my fingertips, but it should be easy to trace out.

      Hi there

can you post your (poor) schematic diagram of the Baracuda in this forum? I'm also interested to have a look into the schematic.

      Thanks in advance....Chris

              Re: BARRACUDA

Seems to be rather a 4584. The voltage is too high for the '14.

              Pawel

                Re: BARRACUDA

I think it is a CD40106. Currently I'm redrawing the circuit diagram in my cad system. Is someone interested to cross check it after finishing the drawing? Just drop a message.

                  Re: BARRACUDA

I'm almost sure you're right - 40106 is much more popular.
I can try to go through your drawing though I'm rather busy with my own toys. Which cad do you use?

                  Regards,

                      Re: BARRACUDA

U3 pins seems to be in a typical 1..8 order, CCW. I don't like V+ and V- at p1 and p8. Does it really work? p2..p4 connections look exactly like 7660.

                      Regards,

                      Pawel

                        7660! Just connect Bat+ to p8 instead of p6.

                        Regards,

                          Q1 must NOT be a 9410, it looks rather a 9530.

                            R11-R12 values seem nonsense.

Do you think U2a (or U4a in your drawing) will ever work? I don't. I think that p2/p3 should be interchanged and R24 (your R9) should be 270k. Thee are too much erroors in the "original" picture.
