  • How do I open Fisher 1265x & fit toggle switch

Hello guys, Can anyone tell me how to open a Fisher 1265x as I need to fit a replacement disc1 disc2 toggle switch underneath.
I have opened one before 7 tears ago but cant remember how. I do remember there is a paperclip attached inside that you must be careful with. I also have to replace battery leads does anyone know if the white plastic tube that holds the leads can be opened?
thank you any pics would be appreciated.

Unscrew coil connector and it will release inner construction. Carefully push connector inside while at the same time pull gently holding for potentiometer caps or front panel switches.
Or use thin screwdriver and hook it between front panel and plastic enclosure edge and while pushing coil connector inside also help it with screwdriver from a front.
With patience and little bit of this and that you will manage to pull construction half out.
Than unhook paperclip from Al "faraday cage" and pull construction a bit more out from a box.
Unscrew toggle switch and pull it out to front side of box with help of those 3 wires (by gently pulling them).
Than replace toggle switch and repeat all the process in reverse to put it back all together.
It's a bit tricky but not that hard as it may seems to be. Have done that dozen times so far
    .
Yes; white plastic tube that holds the leads can be opened, with help of some sharp screwdriver or knife.

Agreed!!! On my 1265, the battery compartment is a separate unit that fits under the arm cuff at the top end of the shaft.

Dear KT314... this wild idiotic horse (usually called by name "ivconic") is not laughing at you and your posts.
I just noticed that you photo is not Fisher 12xx but some Fisher CZ, most probably CZ5 or CZ6.
So your photos are not directly related to this topic and the questions about Fisher 1265.
Other words; by posting those photos you are not helping much here to answer the topic question.
That's all, no hidden intentions, no mockery.
                        Cheers!

                        P.S.
                        BTW...better being "
wild idiotic horse" than "constantly drunk russian idiotic looser".
