    Hi chemelec,
The table of Nupi test is in Post #86 in Thread: Can pinpointer detecting thin chain?
    http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...967#post186967

Aluminium foil of chocolate and candy is usually one side papered, one side thin aluminium foil. When combusted paper, 30 layers is 0.2mm or less (air layers?).
Kitchen aluminum foil is thicker (no paper as a carrier of strength), but I think it will not significantly affect the measurement data.

      OK I See it.
Well Based on my Wire Tests and those TINY Gold Nuggets, I doubt an Aluminum Foil Test is Needed.
Also Thickness of Regular Foil, Compared to that THIN Foil Can make difference, Giving a False Comparison.

NOTE On my Newest Prototype, Rather than using a Fine and Coarse Adjustment, I used a 5K, 10 Turn Wire Wound Pot.
      (From my Junk Box.)

Frequency of this Detector Depends partly on the Coil.
My latest proto is running at about 270 khz, I THINK.
Hard to measure exact as connecting the Counter, Upsets the Frequency.

Cutting a .02mm Thick piece of Household Aluminum Foil.
        See Picture:

        1 x 1 mm square, Detection distance is 5mm
        2 x 2 mm square, Detection distance is 1.3cm
        3 x 3 mm square, Detection distance is 2.1cm

          I Found a Problem.
          This Detector is Too Sensitive.

It Does Not detect Dry "Black Sand" or "Dry Wood", But it Detects Moisture.

It does Not detect a Dry Blade of Grass.
But it EASILY Detects the Water in a Green Blade of grass or Moisture in Soil that is not perfectly dry.

So Back to the Drawing Board.
