People make crazy stuff with PVC lately. Like bows for shooting arrows and stuff. I made myself a didgeridoo with add-ons for tuning. The glue for PVC is a bit expensive, but easy to work with.

I only used sand and heat to shape the PVC. I then used a plastic glue and some silicon internally to waterproof the shaft. The pots are just some cheap ones from radioshack that I waterproofed with silicon and a little oil.
Only metal component on it is the enclosure which is either aluminum or steel.
I used it the other day and it worked great aside from the enclosure needing to be grounded. Im going to do that tomorrow.
I will be trying Miami beach on monday.
Just so you know, I found $0.27 and an unopened and unexpired can of pepsi on a small freshwater beach.... The can was cold and refreshingyep I drank it lol

Do not let aluminum and steel have an electric contact. In salt water it makes electrolysis and your aluminum will corrode to dust.
I have stainless steel scoop with aluminum handle. First what I did was to put epoxy in the gap.
Another scoop was steel mesh on aluminum pipe. That pipe corroded and has holes every two month because contacting steel.
> I then used latex/nitrile glove cutouts and glued them over the earmuffs opening after installing the speakers inside of the earmuff.
Good idea with latex gloves but I think latex will not last long. Sun, salt, oxygen will destroy it in time.
I have tried Mylar. Very thin Mylar from survival blanket found in Walmart. Works perfect for last two years. No questions.
Usually I make small plastic caps. Warp speakers in Mylar, put them in caps than seal perimeter with Aquaseal. (That glue for wader boots works perfect in water)
Mylar membranes are used by some companies who making waterproof headphones.

I love PVC pipes. It goes soft after relatively low heat. I am using tourists gas burner to make it soft.
Than I can bend or form pipes just using fingers if wearing plumber gloves.
