Hi folks,
Saw this, and it brings up some interesting possibilities.

It looks to be a nice inexpensive little scope add-on for a Raspberry Pi.
Thats all nice and good, but it also got me thinking in terms of metal detector hardware.
Looking at the API thats released for it, it looks like the API supports multiple scopes on one Pi. With Dual channels, and an arbitrary waveform generator, along with logic analyzer capability, this could potentially form core of an interface for an interesting metal detector circuit. Does this seem possible? Take one or more of these, and I'd think you could build some really nice, high-end detector equipment I'd imagine. In quantity they could sell for $95 (10 or more), so we could potentially pool resources and get these cheaper than the $145.
Anyone interest in building an MD based on this?
Just thought you folks would like to know.
