Here is a readable sch.
I have done a lot of work to try and pinpoint the prob.
The o/p pin7 of IC10B goes high at switch on in metal mode.
As GB is adj after a sec or two it needs ady again etc.
The level on Pin7 falls very slowly until at last it is almost stable.
If pwr on in disc mode, pin7 is low. -ok
In metal mode pressing retune repeatedly will cause pin7 to falll.
If my mode is used 40M across Auto Sw then metal mode is fine.
This prob happened a week or two ago. As I only go out in warm weather and it is now cold I wondered about temp
but nothing seems sensitive. I have heard that some Tesoros do have an R across the auto sw.
