if you can afford one and it suits your style of detecting(deus does not like beaches), not trying to start flame war, i tried one 3 times and it was crap, but in ploughed field and pasture it is the best detector i have ever used.
go for it.

Not even underwater searching of all sorts (par example alongside streams) at all. Or it is no more wireless.

yes wm6, refreshing to see a knowledgeable person being honest about that, the deus is an excellent detector but it does not like salt or water.
no one on uk forums will admit that, which is a shame, for me it was a deal breaker, any machine that costs 1200 quid has to be multi purpose in my mind.
if you do beaches as well that money is better spent elsewhere, for that money the garrett infinium land and sea is a better buy, that really does go everywhere, though it may be a little heavy for some users.
