Magnetometer question

Question for MD Gurus...

If a control circuit with a accelerometer/magnetometer was embedded at or near the coil, would this be of any benefit to sensing ground balance? I want to use this to optimize coil swing speed, but I was wondering if there could be some other benefits that I am not considering.

The accelerometer/magnetometer is a FXOS8700CQ. I don't believe to would interfere with the transmit pulse and receive, but I would have to do some tests to see this for sure.

For GB I think not, but perhaps for Fe identification with a PI detector.
GB is related mostly to terrain magnetic viscosity in case of PI, and mostly with terrain conductivity and ferrous minerals content in case of VLF, and those properties are not seen with such magnetometers.
