What happens with wet beach sand ?

I don't have any wet beach sand within 1500 miles so I don't know but I don't think it is probable to successfully sample at 8us in a salt water environment anyway. Won't the salt water cause problems below about 15us? If you mean how does it work alongside a freshwater stream it has worked fine over wet stream bank or shallow water.

Thats only a 2 day drive ,
I was just interested in how effective the self shielding was in a salt water environment as the salt water does cause problems.

My guess is it would hold it's own with traditionally shielded coils at the beach but only a test would tell for sure .
