Stingray II PCB Possible Salt Mod?

I found this picture of the Tesoro Stingray II detector pcb.
It is the same board as the Bandito and others. I noticed
a jumper going to the GEB/Disc LM393. This could be a mod
to allow the GEB to reach salt. Hmm it looks like it just shorts
out a resistor.



Maybe shorting out R70?

I'm afraid it would not do much to increase phase change, but will only shift the comparator offset a bit.

Well I checked a picture I have of my Bandito and it's not pin 2 it's pin 6 so
is in the disc circuit and it's jumped to a cap. I'll have to check my notes to
see what that cap does...
