im new to DIY detectors, im just a basic practitioner when it comes to this sort of stuff. im trying to lean more from the forums, to better my knowledge. i have never built a PI coil with speaker connection (multistrand) cable. what i have done in the past is what i have posted.. .05 copper with tin foil, wrapped in about 21 turns, so 21 strands.. however this coil has every stand wrapped individually, maybe its a bonus, to how well it responds to some metals. i may even post a youtube vid sometime soon also with the variations of the coils ive tested. cheers
