surf pi mosfet replacement

Can I replace IRF740 with IRF610 for surf pi detector ?
I don't know how much volts and amps is needed for detector to work.

with 200V peak max voltage IRF610 on surf's PI PULSE WIDTH 50usec will work just fine. will not work in Delta Pulse.

No, I get that part, but I was sure all versions of surf ran on P-channel devices.

Surf PI uses a P-Channel Mosfet, N-Channel Mosfets won't work.

If you want to play with N-Channel Mosfets, you would be better of building a HH or Minipulse.

Oops, yep, brain wasn't fully engaged on that one. You need a PMOS.
