  • Two electronic 'devices' to identify

Some time ago I received a lot of electronic components and accessories which were owned by a person involved into metal detectors repairs. There are two 'devices' in many copies which I have no idea what they supposed to be used for (it may not be for metal detectors at all). Could anyone explain purpose of these? Thanks

'Device' no.1 is a switch with two trimmers attached:

'Device' no.2 (it says 9V on it and there is something inside like hot glue or resin under the wrap):

The round device with an S line wiggling across it is a light-dependant resistor, usually cadmium sulphide (sulfide) CdS. The 9V might refer to the power supply for the thingy in the tape.

The first one is a simple switch with added trimmers for whatever application at hand, and the other looks like a LDR.

dev 2 something with photoresistance or wet sensor. no relation of both to metal detectors (

Thanks guys. In the box with all that stuff I found a plastic bag with 'automatic night lights 9V 12V with 150 ohm resistor' written on it. Could it be relating to that LDR thing?

            1 just a switch.

2 My bet is a Photo Switch. Put 9 volts on the red/black wire. Cover the Photo Cell with finger I bet it turns on. Continuity on other two wires.
