  • Spare Parts For Garrett Pro Pointer

Looking for the rubber switch cover. I am UK based but don't mind a oversea wait.

Also is the switch standard or do I have to buy one of ebay

you can use duck- or gaffer-tape and some plastic piece below so the switch is good reachable
3-5 layers and as long everything's waterproof no prob

Last week I called and asked Garrett for the rubber switch cover. They said they would send me one free. Have you asked them?

Cheers Mike thats exactly what I did. I know of one MD shop here in the UK that charges £2 plus postage for them. Took about a week to arrive.

They sent two and also a 50 annerversary badge very good customer service.

Looking for the switch type I have to buy at ebay. I did open the pro accurately but the switch breaked on parts.
I read in russian forum, there is the type and a link, but what type you did buy? the switch is not so simple, has 2 row on 3 contacts/pins.

Sorry don't know. Don't have the pro pointer any more so can't measure for you. Suspect it will be a standard DPST

thank you! searched ebay... the price of the switch is 6-30USD, without shipping, - mamma mia!
then I did try and gather the switch... UFFF... glued it outside by SUPER MOMENT... checked by tester and seems
it is ok... must to go further...

some info that may be useful, those switches are used in just about all pc atx computer cases, the latching type is the on off switch, the momentary type is the reset switch.
they are used as push to make and push to break, which is why they have 6 terminals, just test with a meter to see which way round you need.
any atx case will do, rip open the front panel and inside you will find them, the reset one is the direct replacement.
