I had seen several older posts discussing using FPGAs for a metal detector design (moodz's posts in particular) .

Did anyone get very far with any projects using them? I have the http://valentfx.com/logi-pi/ and I wanted to see what I could do with it. I like the fact that everything can happen in parallel, and I like this board because it seems easy to use and get started. Any suggestions?
