WHITES DUAL FIELD FAULT

I JUST PURCHASED A SECONDHAND WHITES DUAL FIELD AND DIDNT CHECK IT FIRST BEFORE PAYING ABOUT $500 AND THERE IS A FAULT AND THE DETECTOR HAS ONLY ABOUT 3 INCHES DEPTH ON COINS ON MAX SENS AND 15 uS DELAY...IT HAS LOST NEARLY ALL ITS DEPTH !!!!!

Hi daverave, what model detector do you have? I have a TDI SL with a dual field coil. I once experienced a loss in sensitivity when I failed to notice that the battery warning light was on.

i think that i found the problem...the delay control was in the click position which cut the depth down to 3" im not sure what this click position is for but in the whites instructions it mentions nothing about this !!!
