    Hello,

Does anybody build a german PI called Tiny (www.pulsdetektor.de) ? I am very interested in hearing how this detector works on differents grounds (beach...)

Is there a better method to wind wires (mono-coil) to optimised the sensivity on small targets ?

    Thanks.

    Re: tiny questions

    Hi Nico

I don't know whether you read the coil construction for the standard search coil used in all Pulsdetektor projects. The Tiny is designed for a mono coil but actually it works with two coils in series. The big coil (round) is for large objects and the small one (star) is for small objects. The coil construction is under "Projekte" (projects), "Spulen" (coils) and than look for "Basisspule" (basic coil). Any design/shape/diameter is possible but the overall DC coil resistance should be below 3 Ohms. Note: The Tiny works only if there is a coil connected to the electronic!

      Hi..

the resistor metal film 2K - 2.2K is hard find.

anibody can say to me that I can use instead of its?

      Thanks

      Best regards.

        Re: tiny questions

        Hello Chris,
ya i read the Basisspule and i know about the two coils in series.
i was just asking myself if there was not a special method to wind wires in the coil or a special shape/design of the coil to increase the sensibility on small targets as monney... (detecting big targets don't interest me...)
i have sent a mail to the Webmaster to ask him but have no answer.

Do you build it? if yes, how does it performs? And how does it works on beach?
        Thanks in advance.

          Hi Serafin

You can take any other 2 to 2k2 metal film resistor (3..5Watt). Or you can check out Farnell (www.farnell.com). I bought my one there.

            Hi Nico

you should place your question in the forum at www.pulsdetektor.de than you will get an answer. Webmaster doesn't work....for questions.

In general you can say that a small coil (dia 4..6 inch) is more sensitive to smal targets than a big coil (dia 8..12inch). If your desired targets are small you should go for a smaller coil but you will lose on depth. The "Basisspule" is a

I finished the Tiny project and it works so far. But I tested the Tiny only on my workbench with a test coil. Because I had not much time to work on it in the past month.

                Hi Serafin

Do you find an equivalent of LF357 (your post 14th december 2002) ? Which one ?

                  Hello Chris.

The 2 questions are on pulsdetektor forum since about 1 month (not in german)... no answer...

                  Thanks for you answer.

No. I find the original LF357 in WWW.spinelectronica.com.mx an I have one more in my box I can send you by the original price(2 dollars) and ship.

                        Hello Chris.
Just another question, as i saw you built tiny... (post 22 october 2002)... For R2 to R35, what did you take ? 1/2Watt ?

                        Thanks in advance.

all 1/4 Watt as you can see from the image.

Do you have too a lose of sensibility while on, after few minutes ?
