  • searching forum for specific thread or file?

How do I get the search to find the specific mention out of a huge thread discussion?
Like if I want to find an LTSPICE schematic I enter LTSPICE but it doesn't give me the specific mention just the multipage forum.

I think he means SEARCH ENTIRE POSTS does not give THE entire POSTS. like kinda we see in forums of the global net that a seach of this matter gives sure the posts, NOT titles.

In that case you could try simply looking at the list of attachments associated with a particular thread. For example, consider the thread IDX-PRO+VDI in the Tech Forum, which has 117 pages. Notice under the 5 stars, there is an image of a paper clip. If you click on that, a list of all the attachments for that thread will be displayed. There are 565 attachments in this particular case, but hopefully you can find the one you're looking for from the attachment name.

Yeah, I was hoping it would point me to right were in a thread the item is or is mentioned.
Looking through 565 attachment files isn't much help.
How about google? Is there a way to do it with this and go right to the spot?

Another option is to use the "Show Printable Version" under "Thread Tools." For really long threads, it creates an option to let you see up to 500 posts per page. Then you can use your browser search (usually Ctrl-F) to search the 500 posts.

That used to work perfectly until the forum became readable only to the registered members. You can find old posts still there, but not the newer ones
