  • Deepest PI and a question about the Sea hunter Mark II

Hello, I'm new here but I figured this would be the best place to get good answers to my PI questions. Could you guys fill me in on what would be the deepest commercial PI detector that I could buy for under $1000. I mainly hunt for coins and rings on and in fresh water beaches. Also, does the Sea hunter really have discrimination or it that wish full thinking. If it does what kind of depth does it get if you just eliminating iron.

I saw a Garrett Infinium go for 600.00 on ebay. I have one for salt water and works very well. Hang out on ebay. I find that many people will buy or get as a gift, a high end pi,. only to sell it later on ebay. The machines tend to be in good shape hardly used. The Infinium is great on the small gold and will find rings and coins at depth. Simple to use.

i use to have a garrett sea hunter II....it was ok but not that deep....the stem a bit wobbly when you swing detector....if i were you take a look at the whites dual field which is very good value for your money and good depth.
