Hello
Im new to the forum and would like to ask a serious question.
I have a problem with the lower shaft on my metal detector. Just above where the lower stem connects to the coil, about an inch up from the securing bolt, there is a joint where the carbon shaft slips into the connection housing ( sorry I don't know what it's called). This joint keeps failing in my opinion and allows the coil to twist slightly left and right. Infact if I put the coil flat on the floor and hold my detector as normal I can twist it left and right, I can see the joint moving but not the coil. I have tried two different stems but they both have movement after using in the field for less than an hour.
i have been onto the seller and been told a couple of different reasons for this problem, the last reason they give me was, "it is a built in safety feature to protect the coil lugs and bolt incase I bang it real hard?"
Has anybody ever heard of a crazy feature like this on any machine?
I find it very distracting when detecting and always have to twist my coil back straight during a session! I have a picture but can't attach it, probably because I'm new. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts
regards
