Anyone having problems with silverdogs kit getting 0.0v at pin 6 should check that Q2 is not an IRF510. Apparently some of the kits have been sent out with this mosfet which will not work, me included. After much pain I found out you need to replace it with an IRF9640 which is what is listed in the component list. It is all looking much more promising now. Hope this post is helpful to someone.
