the DD .. nice and congrats .. i was thinking the same but i really want to start things slow
pay atention the all advices (evident .. nici in gradina bunicii nu ma gandesc sa-l testez)

next week i'll gather all the parts i need for the receiver.

ps. can the mini pulse work with garrett DD ? (the standard euroAce coil)

The Garrett EuroAce is a VLF detector, and MiniPulse Plus is a PI. The EuroAce coil will not be suitable.

As a beginner the best is you buy a kit (this is a package) where already most of the
needed parts are inclusive - all you have to do is solder or wire them together.

Because you should have it not too complicated and get fast success.

You will need isolated wire, a soldering iron and tin and some tools plus work-materials
like tape, saw, glue, epoxy, isolation material, poles, painting color and additional stuff incl. alot time.

If you wanna only just save some money better buy a used Garrett Ace 150 (or an old other well known name one)
or some better chinese detector for the beginning. Because soldering together the cicuit-board is
childs-play but you also need a stable coil and stem, a good housing and all this stuff.

Good Luck, Romania is full of treasures and war-remainings.

Thank you funfinder . I already have a garrett euroace. the challenge is to build one myself and learn stuff
and later contribute to others as you are helping me now.

ty is true about romania. unfortunately you can't get a license for a homemade one. so its gonna have to be tested and used
in other parts of the world i plan to travel.

if you plan a trip here there are some juicy ww1 tranches

                              Thx for the info.

Another very good idea is if you buy some used metal-detector and modify it.
I'm one of the modders here in this forum and sometimes there are great
                              possibilities for improving detectors.

As example if you look for deep buried treasure you can try to built your own larger coil.
You even could buy an already homebuilt P.I. detector and built some 1 meter coil for it.

Be careful with 1WW stuff - most of the time it's rotted and disabled anyway but
they had some pretty dangerous grenades and other creepy stuff already at that times.

Also a good idea: Buy some broken detectors or get them totally for free and try to repair them.

I also have the EuroAce but usually its not deep enough if the soil is mineralized and it gets
very fast disturbed by electro smog - but you can get a 35-40cm coil.
There also exists some not very expensive detectors from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Poland and other
south-east european countries which are pretty deep.

Anyway - tinkering is rather something for wintertime - if I were you I would use now spring
until autumn for treasure-hunting (maybe get a better detector first, an used one
also is no problem if its good and working) and I wish you good luck for everything!

For Qiaozi , Finfunder, Orbit ar another member of this forum please tell me Garret ace 250 it is god detector?(versus TGSL home made , my schematic working excelent! and have good deeph and sensivity only in air).Adress this question because romanian authority do not let me go to
authorizes my home made tgsl metal detector.
                                With respect Noro,
