  • pi metal detector fet driver

    hi all

i am sure many will agree when i say stop

yes stop mounting the driver fet for the metal detector on the main pcb

    this is ohhhh so stupid

think about a masthead amplifier for a tv antenna system to get max gain

fet stages hate capacitance so limiting the down pipe too just an rx up pipe
gives a better cleaner signal scope

then a more comprehensive folter can be added
requiring just a timing signal and voltage down also giving a power control via regulation

    so......

The keep it in the coil Campagne is launched

forinstance with the terrozo ib bfo coil type detector
mounting the oscilator in a nice box with a rosin keeping the oscilator componets stable in a poting box makes a very sensative detector indeed

adding a better shielding using copper .2mm foil instead of aluminium gives better noise reduction and sensativity
