  • Minipulse Plus Rev D R6 adjustment

I am currently building a Minipulse Plus Rev D kit from Silverdog. Following the instructions and using a DMM as I don't have an oscilloscope to work with I have completed up to and including Step 7 but could only adjust R6 down to 639mv from almost 1300mv , the required voltage is 500mv. Has anybody else come across this problem any information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Sorry everybody as I have answered my own question by moving my coil away from as much external emf as possible and everything worked as advertised.
    Thanks everybody.

Glad you managed to find the problem. The MPP is a great little kit and works quite well. What coil are you using with it?

I am using a home build mono coil originally was 10.5 " in diameter , made of enamelled .5mm copper wire wrapped onto a round former for 20 turns and covered in PVC spirap tape then a shield of aluminium tape applied except for the aperture 10mm where the coil wires protrude. The shield is held and mechanically connected with stripped copper wire. The completed coil is reshaped to an elliptical form of 13.00" x 7.5" and encased in polyester resin. A similar coil is described by Fred Barnes on youtube.
