  • PCB Tesoro

    Hi, everybody!
Eager to try building Tesoro Eldorado and 'Noname' with notch function.
Any hints where to get PCBs.
    Lots of thanks in advance.

    Re: PCB Tesoro

    Hi Rudolf

The unknown 'Noname' with notch filter could be a Tesoro Panther.

The ,, noname ,, could also be the Tesoro Golden Sabre . It has a notch function also. Kees

        Hi Kess

Could be...could be not...A few month ago I saw an old image of the Tesoro Panther. The Panther had a double poti for the notch filter (width & level) and the Gold Sabre has only a single poti for the notch filter. If I can find the image I'll post it.

Re: PCB Tesoro-where are you finding these?

          Hi Folks:
Can I ask a favor? Where are you finding these circuits and PC boards?Perhaps I missed a post or something, but I've only seen a schematic for a Tesoro Silver, and that one apparently had an error in it... I don't suppose that any of these have been actually built?

          Thanks

If some of us would share what they have collected it might be possible for more of us to start building these units . Just my opinion ! Kees

No problems with circuits, PCBs hard to find.

Design your own if you have to . The schematic is the most important part . If you have any make them available to the forum . ( please ! ) Kees

                      Hi All:
Here's a PCB that I found by searching the archives. It was posted by Alan Craik back in December. Massimo has promised to send me a PCB and schematic for his Eldorado that he's built, I'll post that if I can convert it from an Autocad file.

Check this circuit carefully, though... according to Marcello on August 18, 2002, the SS circuit is missing a capacitor, and a negative supply point is incorrectly marked as positive.

I tried to figure it out myself, but it's makin' my head hurt. I've definately got a lot to learn in the electronic engineering department. I really would like to build one of these, or another tesoro-type detector.

                        Hi Kees

The circuit i mentioned is a .pdf file so i can't upload it. I can mail it to you if necessary.

Please Rudolf ,if you can mail it I will be comparing it with the schematics I already have . Something is wrong in mine but I am not sure what it is . Kees

if you use sprint layout app from abacom
it is a cheep app too purchase at only about 40$

this gives the ability too overlay a bmp then simply recreate the design on the new board by simply jointing the dots

this feature will be automatic in the next version

but its very handy for copying a board from a photo and will allow from global resize of all tracks and points
                            to exactly fit the origial
                            has very nice librarys too

                            i hope i helped

                            other than too add

i have the schematic for this detector
