Help with surf pi

I built the kit from silver dog and for the life of me I'm stumped. Below are some of the voltages. With power on it I get nothing from the buzzer unless I move it close to a magnet. Then I get a buzz. I beleive the problem is in the negative voltage. But its not the ICL7660 chip. If I remove the 555 chip the negative voltage jumps to -4.750. I have since replaced the 555 chip and still the same problem. Also the R6 resistor is too hot to touch. If I remove the coil it cools back down. I have set set offset to 0volts also. Any help would be great.

Give some details of your coil, wire type, diameter, number of turns

24awg speaker wire, 30 turns, 1.4ohms, around a cd spindle. I also checked and its pulling 20 mA with the coil pulled in.

Had quite a few issues with people using speaker wire, I would try a simple mono bunched loop of single core or 7 strand hookup wire, see if it makes any difference
Do you have access to a scope ?

Ok made another coil with 7 strand hookup wire. 180mm diameter with 26 turns. Same problems with it. Where should I start with the scope?

green is pin 3 on 4093
blue is pin 4 on 4093
pink is pin 11 on 4093


4093 look ok to me. The delay does shift all 3 points the same.
