      I think you're right if you compare the highly mineralized ground in Australia with potsherds, stones etcetera from The Netherlands or maybe in Europe.
      Anyway, if the Garrett pinpointer detected in such a way(like the pottery fragments as shown in the video),
      That is mine "Dutch standard" for highly mineralized bricks, pottery etcetera.

      The experiment with the potsherds and stone in the video is more difficult for a VLF detector, than the experiments that we've done in our bin (1.2 x 1.2 x 0.7 meters) full of mineralized and magnetic hydro grain "mine highly mineralized Dutch standard" that we use for experiments. (See picture below.)
      This is because of the difference in:First, the height between the stone and the pottery fragments
      Second, the difference in mineralization between the stone
      and the pottery fragments and;
      Third, by the irregularities in the pottery fragments themselves.

      I must confess that I am jealous of your bin with Australians ground.

        I suppose if your designing a detector to sell in your region, then your methods for testing ground balance will be fine.

        In your picture in post 32, you could try crushing some of it, to make the sample irregular then see how the detector copes.

          That's a good idea to crushed some hydro grain.

          I'm definitely going do it and experimenting with it to see how the detector behaves and make a video of it.

                We have kept working on the project during the last period. Recently, we have made several test boxes. You can see them in the video below.
