Well at least Candy can't patent the modification of transmitted signal ( real time or otherwise) in relation tothe results obtained from a demodulated / analysed receive signal as that was MY idea and it has been posted on this forum in a document which can be proven to have been seen by Whites.
Any attempt by ML to slap a patent on that and Whites can have a field day.
I dare say this latest patent, at first sight, is just a rehash of multiple Rx signal analysis, then using a DSP or some other fast micro to determine the best way to process what comes back from the other paths and rather than processing ALL signals the same, this system uses different demodulation techniques depending on what the overall noise level is on a per-channel basis. IMHO
