I will built a new detector. I have built the GOLDPIC 3 and the tiny project. Both projects hasn't discrimination and the ground here is full of iron trash. I read in the Elektor Book that the DBP2010 can discriminate iron with arrange off 2 filters. What can you read on the meter of the DPB2010? Is it possible with the PI-1 to discriminate iron? I read in the manual that a short delay of 15µs gives the best sensitivity to gold. Can you hear different tones for different metals? Is it necessary that you can change continuous all the potmeters, or use trimmers for some?
