it may be not PI detector. there is not typical for PI pots - MAIN DELAY, SECOND DELAY, PULSE WIDTH. to do FREQUENCY for PI yes it is possible but is not so actual. the auto/hold toggle switch and reset push button is related to SAT control and not indicator that it is sure PI.

Sorry orbit, I don´t speak or understand Serbian, only German and English. For other languages I use google translate.

Hi KT315. The Goldscan 4 is typical PI, but with GB-circuit. Main delay is named as foil reject, second delay are internal trimmers and if set wrong than the GB doesn´t work. And the frequency is for setting the pulserate of the device. The auto/hold toggle switch and reset button is used for better pin-pointing, so you can reduce the search field/sensitivity of the coil. The reset button is also used to smooth the goldscan down and reset it because original goldscan is not a motion detector. I have original Goldscan 4 at home.

I think the sandpiper is a PI between the Goldscan and the Beachscan with more intern settings and without the GB circuit. The audio circuit with threshold control is a seperat box under the arm-rest on the goldscan.

You are right. There is a switch on the housing side with dirction to the coil. There you can switch between detector coil and probe-coil. But I can´t find any other pictures of the sandpiper.
Greylourie do you have the sandpiper at home and can you make some more pictures?

            Sorry Michael,

Its not my detector in the linked post. I guess the switch you mention is for the probe. Possibly delay/discrimination was tied (internally) to the frequency, like some of his other models ? Maybe the speakers and batteries are in the box under the arm-cuff. A non-motion P.I.

I see Anatloy is a member over at findmall, and has posted a request for info on any manual.
