Mickstv, public something similar in "full Tinkerer project", The scheme is in the link below, but now you can not see the scheme.
From GS5 scheme published in Geotech and the published audio by Mickstv, it could be performed much like the GS5, with audio tone, similar to TDI.
As orbit says, it is difficult, but not impossible.

    Hello Jose,

Remember the updated example (4046 vco) Mickstv offered here: http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...839#post210839
One idea is to maybe use your Modo Alto switch mod from your GS4 clone and have it in front of Micks audio. Just a thought. Perhaps there is a simpler way? Certainly there are times when the High/Low select can be very useful thing to have.

Personally I think the high/low switch is a waste of time. Out in the field you really want to dig all targets and that is why I left the option out in the circuit from that post.

for me a high/low switch is useful cause im a beach detectorist and its nice to confirm what is a low conductor if searching for small gold items.

Thanks for the picture which makes things somewhat clearer...i wonder has anyone made a GS5 as a project...i think they are so expensive to buy second hand and rare to buy...i would love a GS 5 or TDI but at present cannot afford one....

I have seen EU based vendors offering TDI-SL at a more reasonable price compared to local agents.

Really appreciate you sharing your working schematic. In your environment, imposing any target blanking/notching could lead to you missing out on potential finds. Whereas in Daves situation, with multiple trashy signals (eg rusty steel core pennies), the ability to be able to judiciously blank them out can enable him to search better before the tide and insanity drives him away for the day.

                Hello Laurie Grey
I think it is feasible to adapt the two-tone audio Mickstv published, the GS4, but should be completely replaced the audio section, then the High, Low mode, which I made in my Clone, and would not be used.
The updated Mickstv, scheme seems difficult to make the mods, high, low, the same, explain why it did not consider this mods.
I referred to another scheme previously published Mickstv, which basically has two channels for processing signals corresponding to the high and low. Then a simple key two points, it can lead to ground any of the channels, or at its midpoint not derive any signal, as I have understood, is the mods is done in the GS5.
By the way this scheme is more similar to that used in the GS5.

                    Hi Jose,

Yes, that early version from Tinkerers thread looks easier to fit High/Low switches to.

                      Hello Orbit

Some of your jpeg looks corrupt. Maybe you retrieved it from wrong folder.
