Double pulse PI idea

Hi,
I would like to have your opinion about my idea :
I want to build a double pulse PI MD. The second pulse would be few microseconds after the first one.
I don't know what would be the effect but i hope it would increase the eddy current of the target and maybe help for ferous/non-ferous detection ?
What do you think ?

Hate to say, it would probably weaken the target response.
