    Bought the SMT version of the DSO 138 thought it was worth ago

    Took about 4 weeks to arrive. Assembly was fairly straightforward due to excellent instructions.

    Is it any use for detector builds well this is my Whites Classic I

    Mine never came. Got refund though.
    I expect it to be sufficient for most of the stuff we need, especially VLFs.

      Wish I had it last year. Fixing a car running on 3 cylinders turned out to be a bent pin on the ECU. Thought about fetch the scope down but sorting tables and mains leads. This on a battery pack would have been ideal.


      Display is too small for measurements. Fine if you display the measurements. Frequency is spot on but peak to peak has a difference .2 volts with my other scope which one is correct I don't know.

        Bandwidth might be good enough but it looks like it is a single channel job, triggering from the one input. If so, it's OK for looking at waveforms but can't show phase angle or timing between two signals, which is useful in MD work.
