  • open source scope for MD platform question

    Hi folks,

Could a 2 channel open source oscilloscope like this be a platform to build a MD off of?

    http://www.makershed.com/products/sm...riday+20160405

    https://www.lab-nation.com/

Basically, it has 8 digital inputs, and 4 digital outputs at 100MS/s, and 2 channels of 100Mhz ac/dc scope inputs.
It has 64Mbit of DRAM also.

It can be used with a smartphone or tablet as a scope obviously, but the AUX input with the SDK is very interesting as well. Could this potentially be used for a MD platform? Any thoughts?

Even if the sample speed is fast, it's still only 8 bits. Could be interesting for a GPR IF stage with an up/downconverter, though it's just a hunch.

It's also a bit expensive and only ships to US; but that could be the just that one supplier's limitation.

Yeah the 8 bits kind of sucks. Didn't notice that.
