  • several questions Excalibur II

It's only fair to tell you , I know nothing about electronics. Now my problems. Have an Excalibur II looking for the wire harness that will interchange coils, there are 3 on e bay, the plug is IP 68. Is this what I need ? Male and female plugs are on the wire. If this is correct. I need a plastic cylinder that covers the the plugs that goes from the end of the coil to the plug that is on the end of the detector wire I cant find the h2o proof cylinder because I don't know the technical name. Ive tried several googles no luck.I would be most appreciative for all constructive criticism. thank you Bill

This should work if you take your time. You want the 4 contact model. No cylinder needed. You cut the cable about 4" inches from the detector, put one end on the coil and the other on the cable from your detector. These are probably not reliable for more than a couple of feet of water depth.

Here is one seller there may be others?

The Excalibur has no connectors. So the cable either needs to be cut or disconnected from the circuit board to change coils.
        Better to leave it original!

Is this what you are looking for? He had to remove the coil cable and strain relief from the end cap then replace it with a bulkhead connector. Then you need to put matching connectors on your coils. Not a beginner's project.
