  • my strange surfmaster PI

    hi everyone , last week i get my new detector , the surfmaster PI , after downloading the manual , the detector work with eight AA 1,5 volts battery as they said but when i opened mine , i was surprised to see one 9 volts 6F22 ???? what do you think ? thank you .

    You can install adapters for any type battery.

        You should test it if there is any depth- and performance difference using 9v versus 12v.
        Usually not, and if you have such shown AA batteries adapter u also can use 8x 1,2v NiMH or eneloop accus.
        You even can work with some rechargeable 9v block battery so the detector is more lightweight to use
        but it has to be of good quality and always have a fully charged reserve block as backup.

                  -U4 = HC4066BE
                  -U6 = 7660 CPA
                  -U7 = HCF4066BE
                  searchhead driver = TIP32 and nearest : 2N3906

                        thank you lots AK48. i have pics of '505-0227' board signed and your one seems upward just cause your is '505-0194'.

                            hi! i've got à good question for good technicien , if my board is " 505-0194 " and the coil driver is a TIP32 , i want to upgrade it with the IRF9640 !!! can i do , what will be the result ? my SMPI will go deeper ? will i used the same coil ? the rest of the components seems the same , can you show me what componentes i must replace and show me the final board scheme , thank you .                               simply replace tip32 by irf9340 and resistor 220 by 390.
                              Result is best gold sensivity.
