This is a good idea. I'll test this.

        Hi,
I've made a SMD version of XL 200. The board is 9X5 cm.
I did not cable the battery check circuit cause i plan to add a voltmeter in the casing.
        Layout files will come soon.

            Hi,
For the through hole version, i'm still waiting for MPSA13 transistor comming from china.
For the SMD version, i'm also waiting for transistors.
I just finnished my power module with a single 3.7 battery and a wireless charging module.
For your poor detection depth, maybe you can try increasing the damping resistor. What kind of coil do you use ?

By making a bigger coil, you will for sure increase the detection depth but you will loose sensibiliy to small objects.
I also want to try something : Increasing the pulse width and readjust the timing circuitry to provide more transmit power into objects (But more consuption)
